Challenge #24: A-Z Authors

A friend of mine, Erica, passed this challenge on to me. She found the challenge at: http://www.brunchma.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28187. But it also is said to be posted at good reads.

A new book challenge to encourage you to read things you wouldn’t normally consider!

Step 1) Make a list from A-Z. Post it on your blog if you have one!

Step 3) Read a book by each author. Keep track of your progress.

Step 4) Keep us updated on your progress by posting in the comments. If you have the list on your blog, post a link!

Challenge #12: The Marple Poirot Holmes Challenge

Perhaps it is a little too soon for another book challenge, but I came across this in my Google Reader (thanks to Reading with Tequila)…and well, here we are!

Copied from: At Pemberley

The Marple Poirot Holmes Challenge

“Nothing really beats a good old Agatha Christie mystery or an Arthur Conan Doyle masterpiece. I’ve loved Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes all my life and I doubt we’ll find a detective surpassing the unexpected genius of Miss Marple, the exemplary ‘little grey cells’ of the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, and of course, the master himself – Sherlock Holmes.”
1. This  challenge is from  January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.
2. You will have to read a minimum of 6 books in total: two Miss Marple mysteries, two Sherlock Holmes mysteries and two Hercule Poirot mysteries. You can of course, read more than 6 books if you want to.
3. The books you have chosen for this challenge can overlap with other challenges.

Step #1) Visit At Pemberley and leave a comment.

Step #2) Start reading!

Step #3) Post comments/links that keep us updated with your progress!
